Pepecoin Wallet Desktop App

Store, send, and receive Pepecoin with an open-source desktop wallet built for the Pepecoin blockchain.

Choose a build for Windows, macOS or Linux on the Downloads page.

Pepecoin Wallet window on the Overview tab. The left side shows available, pending and total balances above the green frog logo. The right side lists recent transactions, with a tip of the day at the bottom: who owns the private keys, owns the coins.

A familiar wallet, right on your desktop.

Pepecoin Wallet keeps the essentials one click away: your balances, your recent activity, and simple Send and Receive screens.

  • Send and receive Pepecoin

Dedicated Send and Receive screens. Pepecoin addresses start with P, so they are easy to recognise.

  • Balances and recent transactions

The Overview tab shows available, pending and total balance next to your latest activity.

  • Built for the Pepecoin blockchain

Pepecoin is a coin with its own chain, not a token wrapper on another network. Pepecoin Wallet is made for that chain.

  • A familiar desktop experience

A regular desktop app with a menu bar and a simple toolbar: Overview, Send, Receive, Transactions.

  • You control the keys. Wallet data stays on your machine.
  • Open source. Anyone can read and build the code.
  • Verify before you install. Use checksums, signatures or reproducible builds where a release provides them.

From download to your first address in four steps.

  1. Download Pepecoin Wallet

Open the Downloads page and pick the build that matches your system. Use official releases only.

    Open Downloads
  2. Install and let it sync

Start the app and give it time to sync with the Pepecoin network. The first sync can take a while.

  3. Create or restore a wallet

Start fresh or restore an existing wallet. Write your backup down and keep it offline. Never type it into a website.

  4. Send and receive

Share an address from the Receive tab, or paste one into Send. Pepecoin addresses start with P.

  • Own blockchain

Pepecoin runs on its own chain. It is a coin, not a token living on someone else's network.

  • Proof-of-Work

The network is secured with Proof-of-Work, the same family of consensus used by the earliest cryptocurrencies.

  • Low fees

Built as a fast, low-fee currency. Fees can change, so check the fee shown in the wallet before you send.

  • Symbol Ᵽ

The currency symbol is Ᵽ, a P with a stroke through it.

  • Smallest unit: Ribbit

The smallest unit of Pepecoin is called a Ribbit. Yes, like the frog.

  • No contract address

Pepecoin is not a smart-contract token, so it has no contract address. Addresses to send to start with P.

Not an ERC-20 token. If someone shares a contract address and calls it Pepecoin, it is a different asset. Other coins and tokens named Pepe or PEPE are unrelated to this project.

Quick answers.

Short answers to the questions people ask most.

Is Pepecoin an ERC-20 token?

No. Pepecoin is a separate coin with its own Proof-of-Work blockchain. It is not an ERC-20 token and does not run on Ethereum or any other smart-contract platform.

Does Pepecoin have a contract address?

No. Contract addresses belong to tokens on smart-contract networks. Pepecoin is its own coin, so there is no contract address. If you are asked to paste one, it is about a different asset.

What does a Pepecoin address look like?

It starts with P. Always check the full address before you send. Blockchain transactions cannot be undone.

Is this financial advice?

No. This page describes a piece of software. It makes no predictions about price, returns or value, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, hold or sell anything. Decisions about your own money are yours.

Where should I download Pepecoin Wallet from?

Only from the official GitHub releases page (github.com/pepecoinppc/pepecoin/releases) or from the Downloads page of this site. Avoid ads, chat links, direct messages and mirror sites, because fake wallets are a common way to steal coins.

Is Pepecoin Wallet open source?

Yes. The source code is public on GitHub, so anyone can read it, build it and report issues. You can start at the official repository.

What if I lose my wallet and my backup?

Pepecoin Wallet is a local wallet, so backups are your responsibility. If both the wallet and its backup are gone, there is generally nobody who can restore your coins. Keep a backup offline and never share it with anyone.
